Apologies

Good Day Loves!

It has been an interesting journey across the world!! I have met and interacted with many people from different ethnic backgrounds, cultures, countries, & anything else that you can possibly think of! I was at 5 different airports just to fly over 24 hours, over at least 24 countries, and through many time zones to get from the U.S. to Malaysia (including a 12 hour layover in Singapore).

Although I am having a wonderful time, I most definitely have my down moments. I have been typing my blog entries and saving all my pictures and videos from my travels here and there in order to post them when I arrived to our destination in Malaysia. Well, long story short, some of our expectations for our accommodations were not met immediately (in fact, for those who brought their laptops are still waiting for internet access); for that reason some have been extremely stressed for they are enrolled in online courses with due assignments. I, on the other hand, just had a goal to post at least once per day on my blog to share my education abroad experiences. Since I was not able to post my blog materials before my flashdrive malfunctioned, I lost all of my media except for today’s pictures and videos. Luckily for me, today’s recorded information was the best by far!

It is frustrating that I do not have my previous blog entries, especially since I spent a lot of time making them perfect; it gave me the opportunity to turn my loss into a teaching moment. Today in society, we tend to be heavily dependent on technology for many different reasons during our daily lives. Nor does it look like we will become independent from it anytime soon neither. When traveling to different countries, keep in mind that you may not receive the promised accommodations that you were expecting and may have to be patient until you do get them (if you do). Keep a journal to write down your experiences from your travels and to physically write out homework. If you are recording or taking pictures, have several data backup methods to protect your recorded memories and to save yourself from unnecessary stress.

Well, I only had one flashdrive with all my stored materials on them and have been sharing other group members laptops in order to type, etc. I do not trust my flashdrive to store anything electronic unless I want to risk losing it too. So, for those reasons and many more that were not discussed, I have not had a proper time to sit down to post a blog entry to update you all who are following. I know technically it is not my fault there were a series of unfortunate events, but it was my fault for not being prepared anyhow.

So, I apologize to all those who were waiting!
